About the Workshop

Are you aware that the act of breathing, which we are engaged in at this very moment, is intrinsically linked to the phenomenon of olfaction? Breathing represents the root of life itself, while the sense of smell underpins the roots of the mind, emotions, and memory. In Eastern philosophy, it is believed that inhaling pleasant aromas through the nose allows one to assimilate “prana”, or “chi” energy, into the body. A refined and pure sense of smell is thought to lead to a more enriched existence. Therefore, the "Nose Cleaning Workshop" invites you to practice the philosophy of the body and mind through the exploration of olfaction.

IMPRESSIONS

Participants will focus on breathing and olfaction over 24 hours in the pristine air of a Greek mountain. Even meals serve as a practice in olfactory training, becoming educational tools to explore aromas through their flavors.

Various exercises will reveal how body positioning and the state of the autonomic nervous system influence the sense of smell. The workshop also includes activities that use scent as a medium for self-expression. Through these experiences, participants will unravel emotions and memories connected to scents, leading to a profound rediscovery of themselves.
